In Arizona you can search criminal records via an Online Public Access system provided by the Administrative Office of the Courts. However, use caution as the search is not complete since many of the courts do not share information or provide complete records to the database. This may be a cheap alternative but not advisable. Arizona court systems are comprised of Superior Courts, Justice Courts and Municipal Courts all of which handle different case types.
- Counties: 15
- Superior Court (15 Courts): Felony, Misdemeanor, Civil, Small Claims, Traffic, Domestic
- Justice of the Peace: (79 Courts in 79 precincts) Misdemeanor, Limited Civil
- Municipal Courts: (85) Traffic matters
- Federal District Court:
Each court has its intricacies so an understanding of the court procedures is critical to conduct an extensive criminal background check.
To ensure a comprehensive search of both felony and misdemeanor case types, you should conduct a minimum of a search of the county(s) of past residences during the past 7 years.
